well it's that time again, the fourth time i've moved since getting hooked on this public display of reflection.. with 2009 about to open with some serious new beginnings (helloooo trout!), ie. a brand new fam, and given that the past few days i've been feeling like blobber's just a bit outdated.. i'm outta here. come visit on the new homestead whenever you like though, here.
tonight's friday night walking date was from the wheel at the end of jardin des tuileries, down the start of the champs-elysées along the xm market, to the grand palais where the most awesome expo of film, light and sound installations were set up to mark the closing of the french eu presidency. result: some wonderfully ahty / smurfy bump profile shots against a giant wall of light projections.
here's a bigger bump shot from the side that gives a better idea of where it's at.. altho it still doesn't really do it justice. *please note the bottom half of the xm tree is without ornaments because they've been knocked off so many times by monty that we give up.. and please note that is a (surprisingly) delicious non-alc beer that i'm resting on the bump. and finally please note that monty has grown into his ears :)
berto's got us started on a friday night walking date tradition for these late preg days pre-xm.. first one was to see les vitrines des grands magasins on haussman blvd.
i most dug these random robot fairies.
in repetition but no particular order.. battles with the xm tree (current score: kitten 1, tree 0), hiding in the couch, sleeping on the bump/bosom, inspecting everything.

so i've got a bit more time to partake in this kind of activity, which i'm calling the mat leave baby shaker, as well as regular walks around the hood, couch naps with monty, and just getting caught up on all the life that had been put to the side while work was full on these last couple months.. feels gooood, and regular kicks from the midsection indicate the trout is pretty happy to no longer have to do the commute at the very least. vive le repos.. as short lasted as it's sure to be.
new kitty home from the country as of a few hours ago, staking out his favorite new perch..
these cutest of booties for tiny foresty creatures arrived in the mail a while ago from dad and sarah.. i'm sure i'm not the only one wishing they came in my size too.
